At present, I am working on the synthesis and growth kinetics of oxide viz. ZnO, NiO nanostructures on various substrates (Si, Sapphire, GaN etc). The nanostructures are further being tailored by swift heavy ions (SHIs) for its various possible device applications. The irradiation with heavy ions is performed at the Helmholtz-Centre for Heavy Ion Research (former GSI) in Darmstadt, Germany. The morphological analyses of the samples is performed at in-situ installed SEM/EDX/Micromanipulator facility which is integrated with the M-branch beam line M1 of the UNILAC swift heavy ion accelerator and also at my working place at Stuttgart University, Germany.
